Radical group claims responsibility for attack on Minneapolis pro-life office

The radical abortion group Jane’s Revenge has apparently claimed responsibility for a vandalism attack on a Minneapolis pro-life office.

On Wednesday, the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) office sustained shattered windows and red graffiti that spelled out “abortion is liberation.” It’s the second time MCCL was targeted. The first attack happened several weeks ago after the Roe v. Wade draft opinion was leaked.

“We’re seeing some backlash to what the Supreme Court could do in terms of returning the abortion issue to the American people and letting them decide their abortion laws,” said Paul Stark, MCCL communications director.

A day after the vandalism, Abolition Media — an “online news source for revolutionary movements” — posted a message about the attack under the name “Jane from the block.” The post claims the violent pro-abortion group “Jane’s Revenge” carried out the attack.

The post says that MCCL is responsible for “untold amounts of suffering as a result of their anti-science propaganda campaigns, ghoulish legislative attempts at social control and support for hateful bigoted politicians.”

It claims that in a “small gesture of defiance and joy,” the group decided to smash MCCL’s windows and leave them a message.

“The time of us reluctantly permitting their hatred for actual living people is over. We should’ve done more,” the post says.

“Just because the task at hand is an urgent one, does not mean it cannot be met with glee. If we are continuously repressed, murdered, left to starve or to the hands of right-wing militias, there’s no reason why we can’t dance while we destroy. Turn our scream into a song and laugh in the face of an empire as it burns,” it adds.

Across the country, “Jane’s Revenge” has taken credit for various attacks on pro-life organizations since the leak of a draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade.

In other messages, Jane’s Revenge has described itself not as “one group but many” and declared it “open season” on pro-lifers.
