The University of Minnesota Student and rising conservative journalist Megan Olson announced she is running for Minnesota House. Olson would be one of the youngest people to serve in Minnesota state history and would be the youngest member of the current legislature
Olson began to get attention while serving as a secretary of the Minnesota College Republicans. She then gained recognition as a journalist for Campus Reform and Alpha News. (Olson will be on a leave of absence from Alpha News while she runs for office).
While Olson will be much younger than her Democratic opponent she is a lifelong resident of Apple Valley and will offer a conservative alternative to Democrat Millenials led by Socialist Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
