A former inmate joined Liz Collin on her podcast with shocking new details about what’s really going on at Minnesota prisons as the mainstream media continues to remain silent.

Rebeca Warmbo spent more than a decade in and out of prison. She’s been helping with prison ministry ever since her release in 2019. As part of her efforts, she’s in regular contact with women who are in Shakopee correctional facility. Shakopee is supposed to be Minnesota’s prison for women, but that’s no longer the case.

In 2023, Gov. Tim Walz’s administration established a controversial transgender policy that allows biological men to be housed in Shakopee with biological women. While safety concerns, staff resignations, and inmate trauma have been adding up, Warmbo says that things have become even worse as taxpayer-funded sex-change surgeries have increased.
As Warmbo explained, once biological male inmates have sex-change surgeries, they’ll likely remain at Shakopee.
“They’re doing this because they’re afraid that when these new laws go into effect that they’re gonna get sent back to men’s prison. So they’re doing this so that they can guarantee that they can stay in a women’s prison,” Warmbo said, referring to the federal push to protect women’s spaces.
Warmbo also pointed out how some of the men are serving long-term, if not life, sentences and pose a lasting problem for the women inmates at Shakopee.
Last year, Warmbo spoke with Collin and sounded the alarm about biological men who “identify” as women being held at the women’s prison.
Now, however, Warmbo says the men at Shakopee are taking things a step further: some of the biological men are no longer just “identifying” as women — they’re getting “bottom surgery” to become physically more like women and taxpayers are paying for it.
“It’s shocking just that it’s even continuing … These men are being rushed in to get this bottom surgery suddenly when normally to get this process … it takes years to do, but suddenly now they’re approved to do it, even though they are men,” Warmbo explained.
Sources recently told Alpha News that Shakopee inmate Bradley Sirvio, a convicted murderer who beat a man to death with a hammer and set his house on fire, received “bottom surgery.”
Warmbo said an inmate at Shakopee told her that Sirvio had surgery and now has what the inmate calls a “dick pussy” or “dick vagina.”
However, Warmbo said that’s not the worst of it. The inmate told her that after Sirvio had surgery, he was showing himself off to the women inmates and “ended up going to segregation for it.” Warmbo also said that the women “don’t feel safe.”
“How can you feel safe when you have some man that’s showing off parts that are now … deformed and cut off?” Warmbo questioned.
Alpha News asked the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) about Sirvio. In a written response, the DOC said that it “cannot confirm, disclose, or discuss the private medical information for any individual” in its custody.
“Because the DOC is constitutionally obligated to provide medically necessary healthcare, and regardless of the diagnosis or treatment needed, associated costs are borne by the department,” the agency added.
Warmbo also offered an update about Elijah Berryman, another biological male housed with women at Shakopee. As Warmbo said, Berryman is in prison for “being a pedophile, sexual violence to children.”
Now, Warmbo said Berryman “got his boobs done … and he’s waiting for bottom surgery. And he said specifically that he’s doing this so that they can’t send him back.”
Warmbo also mentioned Sean Windingland, who sexually abused his relatives who were children. Warmbo said that Windingland was removed from Shakopee after sexually assaulting women and sent back to men’s prison.
The circumstances left Warmbo wondering about Windingland and other biological male inmates at Shakopee.
“Who decides their sex? Is it the state or is it the people? It doesn’t make any sense because if you’re a woman one day, how can you then be a man to go back to a men’s prison? If he’s really a woman, that should be highly illegal,” Warmbo said.
Alpha News reached out to Sen. Amy Klobuchar to find out whether she will continue to support the transgender prison policy established by Gov. Walz’s administration if she is elected governor this fall. Her campaign has yet to respond.
