The two largest cities in the state of Minnesota are foregoing fireworks on Independence Day, again.
There will be no official fireworks displays for the fourth consecutive Fourth of July in Minneapolis.
Instead, the most populous city in Minnesota held a July 3 Patriotic Laser Light Show set to music at Boom Island Park.

Across the river, the city of St. Paul will also (again) skip out on Fourth of July fireworks, however, the St. Paul Saints hosted a post-game “Red, White and Boom!” fireworks display at CHS Field on Monday.
