Minnesota’s extreme stance on child sex changes draws unwanted national attention

A Thinking Minnesota opinion poll finds that two-thirds of state voters oppose the practice, by a margin of 67 percent to 22.

(Center of the American Experiment) — The state’s Democratic leadership has staked out one of America’s most extreme positions on sex-change surgeries for minors. As I mentioned the other day, Gov. Tim Walz signed (in public, surrounded by children) an executive order removing barriers to so-called “gender-affirming health care.”

Our exclusive Thinking Minnesota opinion poll finds that two-thirds of state voters oppose the practice, by a margin of 67 percent to 22. Not even a majority of Democrats supports sex-change operations for minors.

At the public signing ceremony for the executive order, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan made some remarks that have gone viral. She was featured on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show, as reported by Alpha News.

At the 0:38 second mark, Tucker Carlson describes Minnesota as “that sad state in decline.” He’s not wrong. Flanagan’s remarks begin at the 0:52 second mark of the video. Scroll back up and notice the knife on her shirt.

The Twitter account Covid Clarity commented on Flanagan’s speech in a Tweet that got picked up a week later by none other than Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

As of Friday afternoon, the Musk Tweet had accumulated more than 9 million views.

Coverage of the issue has been much more favorable in local media. KARE 11 ran a report featuring a six-year-old child. It introduces this piece on the surgical mutilation of those under 18 with this quote from Gov. Walz: “In this state, hate has no home.”
