The ad buy is urging vulnerable Democrats to make their position known regarding impeaching Trump even without any proof of criminal activity.

National Republican Congressional Committee is launching a digital campaign targeting all 55 targets for the 2020 election. Freshman Minnesota Democrats Dean Phillips and Angie Craig along with longtime Minnesota Democrat Colin Peterson are included in the ad buy.

The ad buy is urging vulnerable Democrats to make their position known regarding impeaching Trump even without any proof of criminal activity. Fellow Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar has called for impeaching President Trump due to her disagreement with his policies.

Nancy Pelosi, however, has not joined the new insurgent left wing of her party. So far the rest of the Minnesota delegation has refused to take a position on this issue. National Republican Congressional Committee is hoping that the ads force the vulnerable Democrats to take a position.

“The socialist Democrats in Congress need to definitively state if they will stand up to the baseless attempts to impeach our president or if they will once again roll over for the extremists running their caucus,” NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer said in a statement.
