Rep. Nash demands answers after Alpha News exposes ‘white supremacy’ training

Rep. Nash has asked MMB Commissioner Erin Campbell to appear before his committee to address the training, which labeled Republicans as white supremacists.

Rep. Jim Nash/Minnesota House

Following Alpha News’ revelation that Minnesota state employees were subjected to a leadership training labeling the Republican Party as “overtly” white supremacist, Rep. Jim Nash, R-Waconia, has called on Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) Commissioner Erin Campbell to testify before his committee.

Nash, who chairs the State Government Finance and Policy Committee, sent a letter to Campbell requesting her attendance next week to address concerns over the taxpayer-funded training program.

The training used a 32-page document titled “White Supremacy Culture – Still Here,” linking capitalism, Christianity, and individualism to white supremacy.

“With the revelation … of your internal training document defining me, my party and my caucus mates as a white supremacy party and accusing us of perpetuating Christian Hegemony I think it wise that you make time to visit my committee next week to discuss this with the whole committee,” Nash wrote in his letter to Campbell.

MMB confirmed to Alpha News that the document was included in supervisory and management training until it was removed on Feb. 11. The agency stated that the training was developed by MMB’s Enterprise Talent Development unit and made use of the document from April 2024 to February 2025.

Nash said that he expects Campbell to provide direct answers to his committee regarding this issue.

The committee hearing could take place as soon as next week.
