Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michele Tafoya raised $2.04 million in the first three months of 2026 — more than all of her GOP primary opponents combined. In fact, Tafoya even outraised Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, one of the two leading DFL candidates for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.
In the first quarter of 2026, Flanagan raised $1.35 million. Flanagan is currently locked in a heated primary fight with DFL Rep. Angie Craig, who raised $2.5 million in Q1. As of March 31, Craig had $4.89 million in cash on hand, Tafoya had $1.85 million, and Flanagan had $1.14 million.
Given the increasingly bitter primary campaign unfolding between Craig and Flanagan, the two DFLers are likely to expend significant resources in their efforts to obtain their party’s nomination. Meanwhile, Tafoya is facing several lesser-known GOP primary opponents.
In the race for governor, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar far outraised her Republican rivals. Klobuchar, who has all but become the DFL’s gubernatorial nominee, brought in $4.85 million during the first three months of 2026. Republican candidates for governor raised $1 million collectively.
