Alpha News will be providing an exclusive livestream of an upcoming debate between Royce White and Joe Fraser, who will square off in Minnesota’s Aug. 13 Republican U.S. Senate primary.
The winner of that contest will then run in the general election against Democratic. U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
White, a former NBA player, won the Republican endorsement over Fraser in May at the Republican Party of Minnesota’s state convention. Fraser, a banking exec and Navy veteran, announced a short time later that he would proceed to run in the primary against White.
Now, the two candidates will face off in a debate July 18 at 7:15 p.m. at the Hilton DoubleTree in St. Paul at 2201 Burns Avenue. The debate is hosted by the Minnesota Federation of Republican Women and will be moderated by Kelly Jahner-Byrne.
