Sen. Amy Klobuchar was the subject of widespread mockery online this week when a viral post highlighted how she has posted the same picture of her in a Vikings T-shirt four years in a row.
“Game Day against the Packers. Time to get out the shirt,” Klobuchar posted on social media Sunday ahead of the Minnesota Vikings’ season opener. The post included a photo of her wearing a shirt with the text, “Optimistic since 1961.”
But some commentators noticed that Klobuchar has posted the same exact photo during the NFL season for the last four years.
“Amy Klobuchar posting the same joke with the same photo every Vikings season opener for the last four years is totally on brand for Snow Woman,” said Mike Norton, the former vice chair of the Minneapolis DFL Party.
“Amy Klobuchar has now used the exact same photo to ring in the Vikings season opener four years in a row. So authentic,” added conservative commentator Dustin Grage, whose post racked up nearly 2 million views.

“Dems trying to appeal to normal people in a nutshell lol,” responded former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines.
“The fraud runs deep in Minnesota,” commented Bernadette Breslin, national press secretary for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
“Incredible. Who is eating salad with a comb to pay for this laziness?” asked Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Brent Scher.
Klobuchar, currently serving her fourth term in the U.S. Senate, is running for governor of Minnesota against state House Speaker Lisa Demuth. Although Klobuchar has led significantly in polling so far, a new poll released Tuesday had the race within the margin of error.
Klobuchar’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
