Mike Lindell, a Minnesota business mogul and outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump announced his desire to run for governor in 2022.
Lindell appeared on Dr. Sebastian Gorka’s radio show, America First, recently where he discussed his future in politics. The MyPillow founder denied rumors that he will run for senate, and instead shared with listeners that he will likely run for governor in 2022 and has taken exploratory action towards this goal.
“I actually met with six governors… I got to ask them all kinds of questions about being governor,” Lindell said. “They were very encouraging, they said the hardest part is the campaign, they said you’re going to get attacked and everything else.”
“I said oh I love that part, I’ve been used to that since I went all in for the president!” he added
Lindell said he’d “like to get all of our state legislatures turned red so that I can actually make a difference.”

Lindell also mentioned his position as the Minnesota chairman for Trump’s reelection campaign in Minnesota. Trump appointed the MyPillow CEO to this position in late February.
Lindell’s run for Minnesota’s highest office would likely draw wide support from Minnesota conservatives who regard the CEO as a hometown political hero. A recovered crack addict, Mike started his company with virtually no money to his name, but grew an empire worth $300,000,000. He entered politics as a vocal Trump supporter and assumed a prominent role during the 2018 midterm elections.
Lindell’s company recently announced that it has begun making medical masks to be donated to hospitals nationwide amidst the COVID-19 epidemic and mask shortages.
