From baseball stadiums and concert venues to race car tracks and city parades, Alpha News is proudly carrying the banner as Minnesota’s only official supporting partner of America250 this summer.

This Fourth of July marks 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. A nonpartisan organization known as America250 is working with the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission in leading a nationwide commemoration of this historic milestone.

“America250 invites everyone to take part in this national commemoration — through local events, shared experiences, and opportunities to reflect on the country’s past and future,” the organization says on its website.

Some of the signature local music events sponsored by Alpha News include Rockin’ the Island that took place from June 26-27; Heroes Freedom Concert in Hastings on July 3 benefiting United Heroes League; Freedom Fest on July 17–18 with a military appreciation night hosted by Alpha News senior reporter Liz Collin; WE Fest in Detroit Lakes from Aug. 5–8 as the official sponsor of the America’s Birthday Party campground contest; City on the Hill Music Fest in Duluth from Aug. 7–8; Rural Music Festival in Isle from Aug. 28–30; and Music on Madison in Mankato on Aug. 30.

“Alpha News is proud to be an official supporting partner of America250. While Minnesota’s mainstream media cheers on activists who seek to dismantle what made Minnesota great, Alpha News celebrates life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness by telling you the truth in our daily news coverage,” said Collin, who threw out the first pitch at the Willmar Stingers America250 night sponsored by Alpha News on Tuesday.

Alpha News is sponsoring several other local baseball programs this summer, including the St. Cloud Rox, the Rochester Honkers and their America 250 fireworks night, the Hamel Hawks, and countless little league and high school fields.

But it’s not just baseball fields where you’ll spot Alpha News signage. The Hawes Motorsports team has been carrying the Alpha News logo on their Bandolero cars this season at speedways across the state.

Additionally, Alpha News is a supporting partner for the 3M Open’s military tent, where veterans can receive free tickets and food while watching the action in a climate-controlled venue overlooking the 18th hole.

Alpha News is also a gold sponsor of the United Pullers of Minnesota, the state’s premier truck and tractor pulling organization.

“Through our statewide ‘Happy Birthday America’ billboard campaign running through September and by sponsoring and participating in a wide range of community events, we are bringing the spirit of 1776 to life across Minnesota,” the Alpha News Board of Directors said in a statement. “We are especially focused on honoring those who have defended our freedoms and on strengthening the communities that embody the best of the American spirit.”
